Friends of Caritas has quite a history following the events at Caritas, near Birmingham, Alabama. Listed on Past Events section are areas where we followed some of the events of Marija's visits to Caritas in 2004, and 2005. We are currently working on some of the other events, particularly from 2008, and 2009. Please be patient as we work to get this information on for you.
Many of you have probably wondered who Friends of Caritas is.
The Friends of Caritas of the Southern New England States was a joint effort of several families to help spread what Our Lady of Medjugorje has done through the mission of Caritas. Having visited the Community in Birmingham many times, we asked permission to put some of their material on the internet. They were very gracious to us, and after a period of time we started asking them to give us "words" for our supporters.
We wish to remain annonymous, because we feel we would be cheating all the other "Friends of Caritas" who are out there by claiming that title for ourselves. We are only a few among tens of thousands of "Friends of Caritas" throughout the world. Thousands of you have found the same love and support we have through the mission and Community of Caritas of Birmingham. The spiritual direction of A Friend of Medjugorje is something, we admit, that is almost impossible to find anywhere.
So who is Friends of Caritas? We, all of us, who love Our Lady, who love Jesus, are the Friends of Caritas.
